Job description
We are currently seeking a compassionate Band 5 Physiotherapist with previous experience working with elderly patients to join a reputable healthcare team in Manchester. This position is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a period of 2 month. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized physiotherapy interventions to support the health and well-being of older adults in a dynamic clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elderly patients with diverse physical and functional impairments.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training, to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation goals, home exercise programs, and fall prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Previous experience working with elderly patients in a clinical setting, preferably in intermediate care or rehabilitation.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation techniques tailored to the needs of older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with elderly patients and their families.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Desirable: Previous experience or knowledge of intermediate care services and pathways.
