Project Manager Location – PlymouthRate – CompetitiveDuration - Six months rolling contractMy client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Plymouth, who is currently looking for multiple Project Managers on a 6 months rolling contract position.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Project Manager is to deliver Nuclear projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The role also involves working closely with the Estimating Department, site delivery teams and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed safely, whilst ensuring customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing projects within the heavy civil and Nuclear sectors, also the candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:EssentialExperience Heavy civils, Nuclear, pipework, deep drainage, earthworks, groundworks, demolition, enabling works, RC, Concrete, pilling, structures etc. Previous Project Manager experienceNEBOSH/IOSHCOSHHSMSTSCSCSTemporary Works Co OrdinatorSMSTS/SSSTSFirst Aid at WorkGood working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalentDegree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalentKnowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanismsExcellent communication, people and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentorAbility to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusionAbility to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidanceProblem-solving and analytical thinking REQUIREMENTS:If this is of interest then please apply with your most up to date copy of your CV and one of the team will be in contact.We look forward to hearing from you soon."VGC are acting as a Recruitment agency to this vacancy.”
