Job description

We are currently looking for a full time gardener to work in a busy garden cultivating vegetables and microgreens.

Job Description: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Walled Garden along with the harvesting and packaging of produce ready for transport, under the guidance of the Garden Manager .

Duties will include:

The sowing/propagation/harvest of microgreens, flowers, herbs and vegetables along with the maintenance of the Walled Garden, including weeding, mowing, pruning, watering etc.

Person Specification:

To be successful in the role you should be a highly motivated person, well organised, with keen attention to detail.

You will need to demonstrate you are: -

· able to take direction and to work without supervision where required – a good team player
· confident in communicating with others
· be open and honest with a positive outlook

We also expect you to be: -

· proactive and helpful
· flexible in your approach to work
· keen to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
· happy working outdoors or in the glasshouses in all weather
. physically fit
· professional in your manner at all times

To apply you should have a genuine enjoyment of gardening and the outdoors, ideally with horticultural experience although not essential as training will be given. The working day is generally 8am – 5pm with the occasional tweak and some weekends on a rotation basis.
