Senior Core Network Engineer – Up To £60,000 + Oncall – Home / London Based

• Be within the SME tech unit of the business.
• Fully owned business, no debt.
• GMT focused on Cloud and SDN transformation.
• Exposed to multiple vendors, creating your own specialism. 

You will be the most senior engineer within a small team. Responsible for the development and maintenance of my clients core network. My client are at the forefront of technology, strong vendor partners with great technical leadership who know what techies want. You will have courses / certs funded and a clear progression plan to progress through the ranks.  Key Skills:

• Experience working with Service Provider networks
• Strong network design experience
• Networking Protocols - TCP/IP, IS-IS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, MP-BGP
• L2 & L3 VPN services.
• ISP / MSP Background
• SD-WAN / SASE – Nice to have  
• Firewall experience – Cisco, FortiGate, Meraki (1 of is sufficient)

Responsibilities:

• Design, document and implement core network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
• Provide a handover to your peers so that the infrastructure can be supported by the Operations team.
• Work with internal stakeholders – Provisioning, delivering and advising on the Core Network. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues within SLA
• Act as a senior escalation point for team members and internal teams for incidents, requests and changes
