THE ROLE
The Senior Network Engineer is a vital role within Agilisys and this role will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our clients’ ICT environments.
Specific duties
Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:
• LAN, WAN and WLAN Networks - Implementation, development, maintenance & support
• Telephony – On Premise, Hosted & Internet based (Cloud), SIP - Implementation, development maintenance & support
• Network and Perimeter Security - Implementation, development, maintenance & support
• Voice & Data Specific advice, project and consultancy
• Delivery of services provided in accordance with performance requirements and in line with resolution times against KPIs and SLAs
• Provide appropriate responses to incidents, service requests and change requests
• Managing customer expectations including feedback to and from customers
• Own and ensure that system administration and status monitoring processes are maintained and followed
• Develop and maintain routine maintenance processes and ensure that they are followed and completed on schedule
• Maintain system records and high-quality documentation in accordance with Agilisys policies and processes
• Updating, patching, and hardening of managed systems in accordance with policies and schedules
• Liaising with external suppliers regarding faults, enhancements and all complex matters arising that may impact the service being offered to the client to ensure resolution within agree timescales

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be part of a very established Managed Services team, providing support to our client base nationwide, with occasional travel to our other sites in London, South West and Kent where required.
The Ideal Candidate
• Technical – Strong Experience with Cisco, Juniper switching and Routing including, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF
• VPN and SSL VPN configuration including Cisco VPN, 2FA, Global Protect
• Cloud Computing networking and administration – AZURE, AWS (Desired)
• WIFI – Aruba (ClearPass), Cisco (ICE)
• Firewalling – Checkpoint, Cisco (ASA), Juniper, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Fortinet
• Network Monitoring/Network Troubleshooting / Diagnostics
• Voice – 8X8 Cloud Telephony, MITEL (Desired), SIP
• Technical - Qualifications: CCNA, CCNP (Desired), AZURE AZ-700 (Desired), AZURE AZ-900 (Desired)
• Person: Managing multiple priorities and competing workloads, Operational management, Coaching & mentoring, Procurement, Critical thinking, Problem solving, Attention to detail, Technical & report writing, Meeting management and facilitation, Excellent communication and customer interaction skills, Flexible in approach to working hours and tasks
• A working knowledge of IT service management principles (i.e. ITIL v4) and familiarity/operational experience of one or more of ISO9000, ISO20000, ISO27000, ISO14000 would be highly desirable.
