Job Purpose Since its creation, the Gifting unit has played a critical role within BPC UK&I, delivering over £60m TO, growing YOY and delighting our consumers with a range of exciting gifting products from Lynx to Dove and Radox to name a few.

The Gifting business is unique as it fully operates end-to-end, from pack creation and design, through to fulfillment and delivery to the retail customer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join us on this journey and help shape the future of gifting for Personal Care Business Unit in Europe.
As the Assistant Packaging Manager, you will work alongside the Senior Packaging & Network Manager to develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions for the Gifting portfolio in UK&I and Europe.
Responsibilities Development of Gift Packaging Work closely with the Gifting team and external partners to develop new primary and secondary Packaging solutions for the UK & EU Gifting Portfolios.
- Support the development of new Gift Packaging structures.
- Lead/Support the development and optimisation of Corrugate Outer cases and palletisation plans.
- Lead the development of Display structures for our key retailers.
- Identify and implement cost saving initiatives & sustainability opportunities across our Gifting structures.
Giftpack Production Ensure Gift Packaging activities are delivered on time for Re-Pack Production.
- Complete technical tasks required for Re-Pack Production such as re-pack briefs, first production approvals and quality assessments.
- Manage artwork creation and approval for UK Outer cases with suppliers.
- Approve Artworks for primary structures in Blue.
- Proactively manage suppliers to ensure critical deadlines are met and the network is updated.
Gifting Business Activities Ensure key activities to support the Gifting business are managed on time.
- Meticulously manage large amounts of data for the portfolio documents, 7OA and budget control.
- Ensure Trade List Samples (TLS) are progressed and delivered according to the network.
- Support EU technical and supply chain activities where appropriate.
- Embrace the Gifting Strategy and Value Drivers to explore new initiatives to drive growth.
Team Working The successful candidate will join a small and highly motivated team, with the ownness on delivering to a high standard, and must demonstrate the following behaviours: -

All About You - Packaging development experience, ideally in the field of Cartons & Corrugate Outer Cases.
- An understanding of Supply Chain & Repack
- A passion for Gifting, with an understanding of the Gifting shopper
- Experience of working across multiple functions, markets, and supply partners
- An understanding of the BLUE artwork process
- Bias for action. A mentality that stays focused on the job regardless of distractions.
- Consumer and Customer Focus. A passion for understanding our consumers and meeting our customer needs.
- Building Talent and Teams. An ability to work easily with a variety of people and contribute to team development.
