Contract: PermanentType: Part timeHours: 30 hours per weekSalary: £17,943-00Location: Norfolk Constabulary HQ - Jubilee House - Falconers Chase - Wymondham - Norfolk - NR18 0WW In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure your dedicated areas are kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to successfully undertakeall training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and be able to work under your own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all colleagues and the customer, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations. Qualifications In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. JOB PURPOSEDeliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Main Duties -Responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning, including reactive works. -Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements. -Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use. -Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times. -Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order. -Report all machine and building faults to line manager. -Ensure that machinery, equipment and cleaning cupboard are kept in a clean and tidy state. -Deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate -Use a time and attendance system to record working hours. What we are looking for -Cleaning experience is preferred however training can be provided. -Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude. -Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team. -Capable of working to their own initiative where appropriate.
