Cover Supervisor

Full Time & Part Time

Do you have a passion for education? Are you looking to step into the classroom? Think you would be suited to teaching environment? CER is seeking individuals to join our team of Cover Supervisors for our Secondary Schools in Luton.

We work in partnership with our schools who rely on CER to cover expert teachers, unqualified teachers and teaching assistants daily for both short and long-term assignments. when teaching staff are off work for a certain period (sickness or paternity leave).

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising any class (including registration) when the teacher is unavailable, using material planned by a teacher to engage students in learning.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Use specialist (curricular/ learning) skills/ training/ experience to support students
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/ Behaviour/ Support/mentoring plans
• Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
• Support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
• Supervising and managing the behaviour of students during lessons
• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues arising during the day

We are looking for individuals who have:

• Worked with young people – ages 11-16
• Experience of working in a classroom / unit setting
• Appropriate IT skills to support learning
• Good understanding of child development and learning process.

all of our registration meetings will take place via telephone and video calling to ensure we meet Safeguarding and REC guidelines and a time to suit you.
