St Thomas More Catholic Primary School
Location
Dacorum, Hertfordshire | United Kingdom
Job description
Required from: 1st September 2024.
Full-time - Permanent
Leadership (Fringe) Pay Range L18 – L24
Due to the forthcoming retirement of the current Executive Headteacher at the end of this academic year, the Governing Bodies and the All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT) seek to appoint an inspirational, committed school leader to lead St. Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Berkhamsted, and St. Albert the Great Catholic Primary School in Hemel Hempstead.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate, to lead and develop two popular and successful one-form entry schools in this exciting next phase of their strategic development. Supported by an established Senior Leadership Team in each school, the Executive Headteacher will be the substantive Headteacher for both schools.
Our schools are situated in Dacorum Borough of South-West Hertfordshire, and in addition to having great train and motorway links to London and outside of Hertfordshire, are within easy travelling distance of each other. Following conversion to academy status in the summer term of 2023, the schools are now part of the St. Mark’s hub of All Saints Catholic Academy Trust, joining an established family of Catholic schools who provide mutual support and healthy challenge, working collaboratively to continually provide an “Outstanding Catholic Education for All”
As well as looking for a skilled, ambitious and creative leader who can deliver and model exceptional teaching and learning, we are also looking for a leader of faith who will continue to nurture the distinctive and vibrant Catholic ethos of our schools. By requiring that only practising Catholics may apply, this reflects the importance that we place on the development of our Catholic community and are therefore looking to appoint the best custodian of this for the future.
Visits to both schools are warmly encouraged prior to application and can be arranged by contacting Mrs Jo Stokes, ASCAT Director of People by email at [email protected] . An informative applicant pack, and application and other forms are available from the “documents” section of this listing, or by contacting Mrs Stokes on the above email address.
Fully completed applications and other supporting documentation can be returned to Mrs Stokes by email at [email protected]
Closing date for applications: Thursday 14th March 2024, by 9.00am
Interviews will be held : Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th March 2024
All Saints Catholic Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all Trust schools, staff and volunteers to share this commitment. For shortlisted candidates, a short online search will be carried out to establish any information in the public domain that the panel may wish to explore further at interview with you as documented in KCSiE2023. By submitting and signing the application form, you are consenting for this search to take place. The successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS, which includes a children's Barred List check.
