IntaPeople are proud to be partnered with a global supplier of ground-breaking software services. Due to the continued growth and a re-structure within the business they now require an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join the team.
You will have full involvement in architectural decisions, planning, and technical leadership within the core team. You will work on cutting-edge technologies and utilise technologies such as AWS, Java, Salesforce, and JavaScript within the integrations team. This role can be described as a 70/30 split between hands-on development/architecture and mentorship/leadership. Essential skills/experience:
5+ years of Software Development experience
Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins or similar
AGILE/SCRUM working methodologies
Proven experience designing and using RESTful web service API
Experience providing mentorship or leadership to small teams (2-6+ peers)
Experience with using source control management systems such as Git
Proven experience working with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Salesforce, Microsoft .Net or similar technologies.
Responsibilities:
Basic People management of 2-6 engineers (at various levels)
Responsible for the technical leadership, direction, and oversight of the integrations team
Provide hands-on technical skills across multiple platforms
Working closely with the Head of Software Engineering and Chief Technology Officer
Work closely with other Lead and Senior Developers and the Solution Architect when addressing significant architectural problems.
Champion improvements to software development process and tooling to promote quality and efficiency.
Supporting the further delivery and operational team
Actively participate in meetings (including customers, stakeholders, and other peers)
Oversee the work of external developers within the delivery team
Mentor junior developers and support the QA function
The Team Lead will work closely as part of an AGILE development delivery team whilst being involved in creating high quality software within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You’ll also be responsible for Documenting designs, adhere to existing architectural and process guidelines, develop software components, supporting QA during testing and have oversight during implementation into production.
Desirable skills/experience:
Setting up and/or maintaining tools and applications to support CI/CD such as Jenkins, Docker, Tomcat, Git, Artifactory, Ansible, AWS, Azure, Terraform
Experience using AWS services or cloud technologies
Experience with Salesforce or/and MuleSoft
Experience with container orchestration systems like Docker/Kubernetes
