Job description
We are looking to grow our team and recruit a general Model Maker to help assemble models. The ideal candidate will a very hands on, practical person who enjoys making things and who is passionate about detail and finish.
The candidate will be responsible for finishing 3D printed components for models either individually, or as part of a team working on sections that will come together seamlessly. A keen eye for detail, a passion for creating beautiful things, and a love of anything nautical are all beneficial!
Duties
- Use hand tools and machinery to fabricate models according to specifications
- Work with a variety of materials, such as resin, wood, metal, and plastic, to construct models
- Operate machinery and equipment such as 3D printers, lathes, and other machinery to shape and form materials
- Spray painting each component in the required colour, based on specifications from the client or photos/renders.
- Assemble and fit components together to create finished models
Requirements
- Previous experience in a practical hands on role
- Proficient in the use of hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
This position requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
