Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Account management of key strategic subcontractors including operational purchasing and performance improvement, contract governance and relationship management across all functions.
Vendor management, including sourcing new vendors & quote for items to raise PPV. Resolve conflicts concerning materials or services, coordinate returns and/or repairs of products and action all non-conformance reports and N.P.D changes.
Responsibility for procuring appropriate items or services from creating a purchase order to delivery.
Continuous improvement of On-Time delivery and quality performance of key suppliers.
Benchmarking of key commodities.
Participate in compiling company metrics for KPIs.
Assist in the implementation of operational procurement, process improvements, introduction of best practice procurement and supply chain management techniques.
The ideal candidate will:
Have proven sourcing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
Be tenacious and have attention to detail.
Have robust negotiation and cost analysis skills.
Be agile.
Be IT Proficient (including MS suite especially Excel & Syspro or equivalent.
Have a customer-focused attitude.
Possess strong influencing skills.
Be able to work under pressure and work well within a team.
A knowledge of supply markets within the commercial catering industry would be advantageous.Our benefits package includes:
