The Employability and Placements Assistant is a highly rewarding role, supporting the team deliver employability activity to our students, and supporting the engagement activity with employers, placement providers and a range of academic and professional service colleagues to help enable excellent graduate outcomes, strong support services for students and offering a high-quality placement enabling service.
A high level of customer service, and strong administration skills are essential criteria for the role, combined with the ability to undertake and deliver distinct elements of the wider employability portfolio. As part of a small but highly active team within a faculty with a large student body, the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a wider range of tailored employability initiatives, administer the systems and processes in place to ensure that stakeholders who engage with the service have a high-quality experience. As part of the team, you will be expected to oversee effective communication channels, act as the point of contact for the team, update databases, and assist in the delivery of networking events, and engage with external organisations where required. Whilst working within a busy team, the post holder will also be expected to link into all areas across the university and this post will suit someone who enjoys working with people and who is a confident engaging both inside the faculty and wider, with students and other key stakeholders.
