We are recruiting a Housing Support Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours ( 7.24 Hours Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term until 31st March 2025
Location: Office based
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Housing Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £12 Per Hour Real Living Wage and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The Council is seeking to recruit a clerk/ typist to work within the administration section of Private Sector Housing. The post will be funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) to help improve energy efficiency within Caerphilly CBC. The post is a full time, fixed contract until 31st March 2025.
The service is responsible for improving the energy efficiency of private sector housing quality of accommodation in the County Borough, in accordance with the Council’s corporate priorities and the requirements under the shared prosperity fund. The service will also be responsible for implementing the Enforcement & Compliance of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards in Private Rented Domestic Properties (MEES) procedure.
The successful candidate will provide general typing and clerical support including data inputting as well as dealing with enquiries raised by service users. The post holder must provide an excellent customer service. The post holder will be a fixed worker based at Ty Penallta.
For the role we ask that you have:
5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent Or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
Familiarity with a range of Microsoft packages especially Word and Excel.
Experience of working in an admin / clerical department.
