Job description

Are you an experienced Chef looking to escape the unsociable and demanding kitchen hours?

With no split shifts or late nights and every other weekend off- you can enjoy life outside of work.

We are working alongside our client in search for a Chef Manager based in Wandsworth.

With permanent opportunities for a skilled Chef who thrives in working with large teams.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for government personnel and staff members.

- Supervise and manage a team of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.

- Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate supplies are available.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

- Collaborate with other departments and units to provide excellent service.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume setting.

- Strong man management skills to lead and motivate a team.

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

- Excellent culinary skills and the ability to create diverse and appealing menus.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to undergo vetting procedures required for the position.

We offer competitive pay rates starting at £20 per hour, with Saturdays at £23.75ph and Sundays at £28.50ph, paid weekly, for this placement. Initially, you'll work as a temporary staff member through Twentysix Recruitment, but you'll follow the same shift pattern as permanent team members.

Enjoy a work week averaging 37 hours, with the benefit of every other weekend off. Shifts typically range from 7:30 am starts with earlier finishes on weekends.
