This opportunity for a Commercial Solicitor to join a progressive UK Top 100 law firm. The firm comprises over 500 people across offices in the South West, Thames Valley and London.

The Opportunity: Due to organic growth - our client has a requirement for an experienced Commercial Lawyer who will benefit from very warm cross-referrals from the wider Corporate team.
There is a very obvious opportunity for a progressive Commercial Lawyer to thrive within this opportunity. The successful candidate will be someone who can 'join the dots' and to utilise previously gained experience and business development flair to realise the opportunity.
A clear route to a salaried Partner role is on offer.
Specific duties of the role will include:
- Ensuring an effective and efficient delivery of work, ensuring matters are profitable and work is resourced appropriately
- Building effective relationships with clients and referrers, delivering on client service expectations and contributing to the management and development of key clients
- Demonstrating technical skills and knowledge to ensure solid legal advice is provided
- Cementing and growing an external profile as an established expert for commercial work
- Inputting and implementing ideas into the team’s business plan in order to demonstrate new business success from BD activities
- Expanding your network of clients and referrers and supporting the pursuit of target clients and referrers with a view to building a pipeline of new business
- Leading on the generation of thought leadership content
- Developing an internal network of contacts to develop cross-referral opportunities
- Supporting pitch teams by attending pitches, writing materials and preparing documents
- Supervising and supporting the development of others within the team, delegating work appropriately and ensuring quality output
- Keeping abreast of legal and commercial changes and inputting ideas to the team strategy including service lines, whilst taking responsibility for driving parts of the strategy
What’s needed to be considered?- Be a qualified Commercial Solicitor - ideally 4PQE(+)
- Capable of managing your own caseload, and provide pragmatic and commercial advice
- Be customer focused
- Interested in technical work
- A collaborative approach
