Our client is a FTSE250 group that is an international specialist in its field of manufacturing. The company is a major global supplier of R&D led materials, with leadership positions in many markets. The group helps customers create innovative new products and enhance the performance of existing products in a wide range of key industries.
As part of the Finance Leadership Team, the role takes responsibility for the Group internal and external reporting together with the global activities that underpin the consolidated results. The role is responsible for the group’s technical compliance with IFRS and for maintenance of the group’s accounting manual, including liaison with the operating divisions on the interpretation of group policy.
Main accountabilities include the annual and half year statutory and external market reporting, with ownership of the Group Finance team’s preparation of all financial information in the annual report and presentations. The Group FC will also act as the key point of contact with the external auditors relating to the group audit and local statutory filings. In addition, the role will lead the global monthly group reporting process, managing the team that reviews, consolidates and challenges the monthly actual and forecast results, and coordinating the global teams that prepare and review monthly results. The position will also oversee and review the production of the monthly executive and board reports, with key financial trends and messages to be summarised in a succinct and effective manner. Ad hoc tasks will include continuous improvements along with modelling forecast data, including sensitivity analysis, scenario planning for M&A and stress testing to ensure liquidity and compliance with banking covenants.
