We are seeking applications from dynamic, inspirational and skilful teachers for the role of Second in Faculty in our Science Team. The Science Team at Kenton consists of fourteen teachers, including a Head of Faculty and three Team Leaders. Our teaching team has a range of experience, from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to teachers who have taught for many years. We also have a team of two experienced Science Technicians supporting the faculty. All Science Teachers at Kenton School are expected to teach KS3 and KS4 science and there is the opportunity to teach A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS5. Over the past two years, the Team have worked together to enhance the curriculum experience for pupils at Kenton School. We are confident pupils are reaping the benefits of this.

We are wishing to appoint a passionate and motivated Second in Faculty in Science to join us on this journey. The post is open to both experienced and early career teachers. If you are the person we are looking for, your broad base of subject knowledge will be underpinned by a passion for the subject and the ability to apply a range of teaching and learning strategies.   

You will possess the ability to work effectively with all students, engaging them through exciting yet challenging lessons and embedding a culture of positive behaviour for learning.   You will possess the ability to promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and take appropriate action when required.  And, most importantly, you will be committed to our school ethos of ‘all different, all equal,’ instilling high expectations in all our students.
