Job description
A fantastic opportunity is now available for an End User Computing Engineer, tasked with overseeing the design, development, and implementation of our client's end user computing solutions. To excel in this position, you should possess a solid foundation in IT operations, end-user computing, and cloud technologies, alongside superior communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities. The role requires both independent work and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities of the End User Computing Engineer:
Oversee the creation and implementation of end user computing solutions, utilising a range of technologies including Windows Operating Systems, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and Intune.
Oversee the rollout, monitoring, and ongoing support of end user devices like laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, and printers.
Handle the setup and management of end user applications, including email, collaboration platforms, and cloud-based apps.
Ensure the lifecycle management of all end user devices, maintaining their support, updates, and security.
Offer technical advice and mentorship to the Service Desk team on end user computing technologies, tools, and best practices.
Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications for end user computing initiatives.
Tackle escalated issues and service requests, contribute to the knowledge base, and manage problem resolution.
Investigate and stay current with new technologies and trends in end user computing to enhance service offerings.
Develop and maintain documentation related to end user computing systems and procedures.
Key skills and experiences we are looking for in a candidate will be:
Proficient in end user computing technologies such as Windows, Office 365, Azure AD, Intune, etc
Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell
Experience in ITIL processes such as incident management, problem management, change management
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders.
Experience in end user computing engineering or support
