Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced senior Project Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Salisbury. Your role will be to ultimately own the pre-construction and construction process. Working closely with the design team from the outset you will be assisting with interpreting and developing the strategic project brief and vision of the client and progressively steering the project through the entire journey. This role will involve but not be limited to document control, estimating, sub-contractor liaison / tendering, negotiation, procurement, site visits, client facing and chairing meetings. Typical project sizes are £1m-£2m and take 3-4 months. The successful applicant will probably be overseeing no more than 3 projects concurrently.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring projects meet financial targets
- Executing project delivery strategy up to commencement of the construction phase
- Managing programs/schedules.
- Managing client and supply chain management (project specific stakeholders)
- Leading the entire project team from inception to completion.
- Implementing pre-construction best practices/standards and processes
- Leading the integration of disciplines (Strategy, Design, Business Development, Marketing and Project Management) to enable the effective delivery of company methodology.
- Achieve quality assurance and quality control.
- Actions taken to identify and resolve risks and issues.
- Consistency of standards, technology solutions and process across local studio to achieve global brand
Requirements
- Managed multiple successful projects varying in size, value and complexity.
- Sound financial awareness with excellent cost control experience.
- Design and Build experience essential with FF&E experience also desirable
- Led multiple pre-construction teams concurrently.
- Experience with project pitches.
- Project procurement experience
- Experience in Sub-contractor negotiation and selection.
- Experience in estimating and budget production.
- Proficient in estimating software and financial management platforms.
- Comfortable with change and ambiguity – seeing them as opportunities to innovate rather than barriers to achievement.
