IT Security Specialist (Part Time)

Job description

A specialist within security technology, a new position has become available for a part time 3/4 day per week IT Security Specialist. You'll be working for a European company that is expanding its operations into the US to reduce security threats and proactively monitor the systems in place. You will work alongside legistration and internal processes by making best use of skills to highlight the threats and vunerabilities then implementing corrective actions and programs. Other Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the design of security architecture
• Work to improve the continous development of security tools and IT capability
• Work with the security technologies and ultilise them to their highest capacity
• Manage tickets in the service platform
• Work with the IT Manager to protect information assets
• Implement necessary controls where needed

Skills and Experience:

• Good understanding of information security frameworks
• Experience in cloud security
• Worked with tools such as Bitlocker, Microsoft Defender, Manage Engine and SIEM tools
• Ethical hacking experience
• Exposure to wireless and mobile security technologies

NVPP3 SC will be required for this role and all candidates will need to fit the requirements for this. This role is hybrid with 1 to 2 days per week in the Kingston area office. This will depend on the number of hours/days work with a salary range of £30,000 to £48,0000 depending on experience and based of a 22.5 to 30 hour week.
