We are seeking a Creative Programming and Exhibitions Officer to join our Creative Industries Team and support development and delivery of Wakefield Exchange programme.

Our place – Wakefield district is the birthplace of internationally renowned artists and home to world class cultural destinations, education facilities and creative industry hubs. Wakefield Exchange is a major new creative and digital events and exhibition venue in the heart of Wakefield opening later in 2024. The large-scale creative showcase spaces will be supported by an independent food and drink offer, alongside creative business incubation, skills, and networking space.

Our work – we develop and deliver a diverse programme of activities. It will include arts, digital, gaming, music, performance and more and target a range of different local and regional audiences. It will provide the opportunity to showcase local talent and connect local people to creative skills development and employment opportunities in the creative sector.

Our team – sits within the Arts, Culture and Leisure Service at Wakefield Council and is enabled by external funding from the DCMS Cultural Development Fund (CDF).

The opportunity – the Creative Programming and Exhibitions Officer will provide core support to development and delivery of Wakefield Exchange programme.
