Job Description



As General Manager you will have overall operational accountability for the management of Sheffield’s warehouse and distribution functions; this includes heading up the senior leadership team and ensuring commercial compliance, budget delivery, Health and Safety strategy and customer service level agreements. A strong desire to push CI initiatives and effect change is key, along with being able to make decisions at pace. Sheffield is a 420,000 sq ft warehouse that houses 63,000 pallets and hosts a number of FMCG clients with in house transport of 30 prime movers and associated trailers.

You will be responsible for the day-day strategy of key clients along with supporting their longer-term growth plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspiring large teams, developing customer relationships and the teams around them. Strong commercial acumen is a must which should be complimented by shrewd cost control.
