About the role
We are looking for a customer focussed Fire Safety expert to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.
On the Job you will:
Act as contract administrator for Fairhive’s FRA remedials contracts, including undertaking valuations and making payments associated with completed works, ensuring works are delivered on time and measured against clearly defined success parameters.
Ensure that all regulatory inspections in relation to fire doors are undertaken on time and ensure that records are kept fully up to date.
Be responsible for collecting all data and certification associated with completed works and for ensuring that this information is added to the asset database and compliance monitoring systems.
Be responsible for reporting to Fairhive’s Compliance Team on all matters relating to fire safety.
Keep up to date and informed on regulation changes, new technologies and materials and trade news regularly advising colleagues.
Provide expert knowledge relating to fire safety legislation.
Where appropriate, undertake the duties of Principle Designer in compliance with the CDM Regulations.
Operate in both the office and in the field with limited exposure to unpleasant working conditions and Potentially Volatile Persons (PVPs).
Adhere to Fairhive’s policies and procedures.
To undertake other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time, including the delivery or projects that support our continuous improvement agenda
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with a diverse range of people and who understands the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to all our customers.
For this role you will need:
A construction or property related qualification (degree or equivalent), or substantial technical experience, built on through a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Have relevant qualification NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent.
Have comprehensive knowledge of fire safety legislation, particularly relating to social housing, and of the commercial, operational and financial context within which we work.
Be able to effectively apply knowledge and experience, often outside the immediate issue, whilst considering the wider context and implications of a situation
Have strong verbal and written communication skills and build collaborative partnerships
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

Have good intermediate IT skills
