Design Manager / Design Lead - Nottingham - £60,000 basic (dependent on exp) - 33 days holiday - Car Allowance - Solid progression routes!

J3A Recruitment are proud to be representing a leader in earthing & lightning protection. Due to a huge influx in orders and the business continuing to expand their name, they are now seeking a proven design leader to support the overall design function.

As Design Manager / Design Lead, you will be responsible for a small team of Design Engineers and play a pivotal role in all things design related to their projects.

You will have proven experience seeing projects from cradle to grave and be an expert within your field. Whether you're a Senior Design Engineer looking for that next step up or an already proven Leader / Manager, this can be a highly rewarding opportunity to join one of, if not,the best business in their field.

The role of Design Manager / Design Lead

• Reporting to Engineering Manager and responsibility for internal Design Engineers
• Management of Earthing system design and analysis whilst using the appropriate software’s
• Responsible for ensuring that design packages are completed on time and on target with regards to time, cost, safety and environmental standards, in accordance with client and industry specifications.
• Interface with external engineering consultants to delegate work packages that support in-house activities.
• Liaison with DNO’s to ensure compliance of our designs.
• Be accountable for the quality of all design deliverables and technical delivery of least whole life cost solutions.

To be successful in this position

• You will be a proven Engineer with sufficient Design experience within the Power Earthing environment or similar
• Qualified to HNC / HND (ideally) in a relevant subject. Electrical would be ideal but can consider Mechanical, Civil, Process Engineering
• Previous experience with earthing system analysis using CDEGS packages or similar software’s
• Must have full driving licence as you will attend site visits

Remuneration / Package details

• Salary up to £60,000 (for the right candidate, there's possibility to go higher)
• 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
