RNLI London
Location
Gravesend, Kent | United Kingdom
Job description
The Gravesend RNLI Lifeboat Station fundraising group is currently recruiting a volunteer treasurer
What will you be doing? We are a friendly and very welcoming group of RNLI supporters in working in the Gravesend region working with the operational crew to support our local RNLI lifeboat station. We are currently recruiting a Treasurer to undertake our accounting and prepare a report on a monthly basis to ensure the group is kept up to date with finances. We anticipate this as being a commitment of around 3 - 4 hours per month on a flexible basis to suit your availability. The team also meets on a 6 weekly basis in Gravesend, so attendance at these meetings is also a key part of the role. The group runs fundraising and awareness events (regattas, golf days, auctions amongst events currently at planning stages) as well as managing local partnerships, so any support the incoming treasurer felt able to provide for these would be enormously helpful in increasing our capacity.
We anticipate it being a weekly commitment of around 2-3 hours usually - but this is very flexible. The monthly meeting date and time is negotiated between us, but any other volunteering can be carried out on an ad hoc basis to suit you.
