Learning and Development Manager
Supporting training and apprenticeships
Coventry
Monday to Friday office hours early finish Friday
£35,000-40,000

The role of L&D and training manager will be diverse, and you will be involved in so many areas of the business and industry.
Main Duties/Responsibilities: Training & Development - Promote training, learning and development to members
- Work with our training providers, develop and produce new and accredited courses for the company
- Review training provider contracts annually
- Work with the Commercial Director to review training prices annually
- Support Regional Managers in promotion and development of training
- Liaise with the marketing department to produce training literature and business guides
- Accredit training courses
- Develop new accredited training courses and qualifications, working in conjunction with the Commercial Director
- Manage the Training & Admin Support staff member and support them with regular reviews and documented PDP’s
- Represent key programmes to the Management Committee
Apprenticeships (subject to internal restructure, this will be a lead or manage part of the role)
- Lead, market and promote on the apprenticeships programme
- Create and develop partnerships with training providers, particularly for levy funded training
- Advise and comment of training and educational policy issues on apprenticeships and skills, qualifications, and training
- Advise and provide information on apprenticeship standards, application and recruitment incentives and processes
- Advise members on funding opportunities for apprenticeships and develop bespoke solutions
- Lead, market and promote the apprenticeship programme
- Manage the relationship with the apprenticeships service provider
- Liaise with training providers to develop specific sector apprenticeship levels/courses
Essential
- Experience in a related training, learning and development role
- Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Able to plan own workload priorities and work within deadlines
- Must be willing to travel and attend events around the UK
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Competent in all Microsoft Office applications
- Have good English literacy, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to communicate with people at all levels by phone, e-mail and in person
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to be flexible and help in a small team
- It is likely that the successful candidate will live in easy commuting distance of our Coventry Office
- Hold a current driving licence
