Job description
Allied and Clinical are seeking a dedicated and skilled Recovery Nurse to join our team. As a Recovery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the post-operative care of patients, ensuring their safe recovery from anesthesia and surgery. This position requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for candidates that want bank hours/ Ad hoc hours for our NHS and private clients in Stirling
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients post-operatively to assess their condition and ensure their safe recovery from anesthesia.
- Provide personalized care and support to patients, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or signs of distress.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and potential complications.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in UK.
- Minimum of 6 months paid NHS experience in perioperative nursing, with specific experience in post-anesthesia care preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
