We currently have opportunities for a Contract Delivery Manager based in the West Midlands, supporting the Environment Agency contract for delivery of Grounds, Trees, and Vegetation Management . Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, customer service and profitability.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Completion of projects on time and to the agreed quality standards
- Ensure budgeted margins are improved on projects
- Management of Subcontractors and Direct Labour
- Ensuring all works adhere to the required Health and Safety standards.
- Allocation of resources including plant, equipment, and materials
- Delivering on a wide range of projects in line with our Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Undertake safety and quality site inspections and audits.
- Client communication and relationship building,
- Mentoring and coaching of staff.
- Identify and act on business development opportunities.
- Collaboration and Liaison with other departments and colleagues within Ground Control
- Pricing of a variety of works, such as tree works, Invasive treatment, flailing, weed cutting, fencing, and planting.
- Identifying resource gaps and bringing in new teams where needed

Who are we looking for?
The projects that this role would be responsible for are based within the West Midlands area, so the applicant must be prepared to travel throughout the region. We are looking for a hardworking experienced contracts delivery manager with previous experience in vegetation management and working within CDM. It would be ideal to have the below skills, but training can be given to the right candidate.
Experience in managing or supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
Great communication skills, including stakeholder engagement.
Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Understanding of Health & Safety precautions
Previous management experience
Ability to work and make decisions under pressure.
Experience in managing P&L’s
The ability to create RAMS for works that are taking place.
Experience in pricing all types of veg management works.
Competent in using excel, Word, power Bi
IOSH/NEBOSH
SMSTS
Background in Arboriculture (desirable)
Experience delivering works located in or around water.
Full driving licence (essential)
