Job description
RMS are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician, for a leading manufacturing company based in Newton Aycliffe.
This role is working 2 shift rotations (7AM – 3PM, 3PM – 11PM) and is a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business.
The role:
- React to breakdown situations, carry out fault finding activities and undertake the timely repair of equipment, including PLC’s, Electric drives, robotics, pneumatics and screwdrivers.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities on various plant and machinery.
- Report and feedback on breakdown causes, making recommendations on countermeasures.
- Support equipment commissioning and installation projects across Assembly and Moulding factories.
- Support the manufacture process of inhouse projects.
- Strict adherence to safe working practices and observation of health and safety rules at all times.
The ideal candidate:
- Educated to ONC (or equivalent) in an Engineering related discipline.
- Completed an approved multi-skilled apprenticeship.
- Experience of PLC’s and Robots is advantageous but not essential as relevant training will be provided where applicable.
- Basic electrical competencies are required.
