Do you have extensive software developer experience, and are you seeking a new remote job? Skillsearch is helping a games studio in Spain find a Senior Backend Engineer, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
In this embedded software engineer role, you will be a backend specialist within the development team of a new Multiplayer franchise. This involves developing services that are highly scalable and resilient to peaks of high demand availability.
In your first few weeks in this Developer role, you can expect to:
- Implement and take ownership of backend services developments from start to finish: Architecture, design, prototyping, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, profiling, maintenance, and support
- Contribute and adhere to agreed development methodology, uphold best coding practices, perform code reviews, and pay consideration to long-term quality and future code-sharing
- Evaluate third-party solutions and be part of the decision to develop our own solutions or choose a SaaS platform.
To apply for this role, you will need 5 years of experience in a development role at a reputable game studio. You will also require the following:
- knowledge of modern development practices like TDD and SOLID principles
- Experience developing backend services related to video games
- Experience developing and shipping games for modern platforms.
