Job description

Oakridge Recruitment specialise in the supply of high-quality temporary and permanent construction personnel.

We are looking for an experienced senior quantity surveyor to join the team based in Southampton. You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors with experience of city centre high rise developments.

This position offers real career opportunity to progress to commercial manager in the next couple of years.

The responsibilities include:

• Managing subcontractors and ensure deadlines are met.
• Oversee the full life cycle of projects and manage cost calculation.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and commercial team, whilst reporting to the construction director.
• Travel to sites.
• Analysing project finances and report against initial project budgets.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.

Necessary skills and experience:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor..
• Experience overseeing the full life cycle of various projects, from pre-construction to handover.
• Happy to travel to various sites weekly to ensure projects are running smoothly and on time.
• Have construction experience of high rise RC and steel frame projects.
