Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 post in Cross sectional Imaging for MRI to help support the trusts CDC site at Ilkeston Community Hospital. UHDB MRI service delivery is provided by the use of state of the art Philips MRI scanners, Siemens Sola currently being installed and soon to be installed an open Esaote Maginfico MRI scanner. Our MRI service consists of 10 MRI scanners, 9 x1.5T and 1 x3T undertaking a wide range of complex and non complex diagnostic MRI examinations including cardiac MR.

The post holder will join our large and friendly team, and quickly become an integral part of our expanding service. The MR services are operational 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, with a on call service currently at our Royal Derby site.

You will have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and have current registration with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC).

Main duties of the job

To provide a high quality and efficient MRI service for the Trust at our CDC sites (ICH,FNCH,SRP) and the Trusts main sites. To work as part of a professional Radiography team providing an excellent diagnostic service.

We expect the post holder to already possess excellent MRI and patient care skills. Be ready and willing to learn how to operate the new Esaote Magnifico platform and the other venders we currently have at UHDB whilst continuously supporting our team.

These vacancy will also allow the successful candidate to work across our UHDB sites, Royal Derby Hospital, Queens Hospital Burton and the 3 CDC sites. You will have a base site.
