Sales Consultant
Full Time, Permanent, Outskirts of Newark/Mansfield
£22,000 - £25,500 per annum
Our award winning Nottinghamshire based client is looking for a Sales Consultant with excellent communication and customer service skills to join their growing sales team. This is an exciting role where the successful candidate will work alongside the thriving Team of Estimators, as well as the Sales Director and Sales Team Leader.
You will provide a key point of contact for our clients customers before and during the sale, give basic technical advice on our systems and will liaise regularly with our other departments to ensure that the customer experience is unrivalled in our industry.
THE ROLE
As a Sales Consultant, you are the first point of contact for all commercial enquiries. Your overall responsibility is to support the sales estimators, manage the internal database and support all new enquiries. Your key duties will be:
Answer incoming calls and emails to the sales department.
Generate new sales leads and make initial contact with potential customers.
Develop product knowledge through regular training and site visits.
Keep the internal database up to date with client and project information.
Keep the internal database sales leads up to date.
Provide cover for your colleague’s projects when they are on annual leave.
Arrange CPDs, lunches, send certificates and follow up attendees for future projects.
Create predicted sales lists and manage them monthly to ensure projects are updated.
Support the Estimators, Team Leader and Sales Director.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Sales Consultant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Have a high level of competency in MS Office
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident telephone manner
Be personable, friendly and have excellent listening skills
Independence and self-reliance
Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated
Organised and methodical, with attention to detail
