IT Project Engineer (Infrastructure & Cloud)
Location – Chesterfield Offices/WFH/Customer sites visits
Salary – up to £40,000 basic

Are you looking for a project-focused opportunity and a move away from the Service Desk environment?
A fantastic position has arisen for a Cloud and Infrastructure Project Engineer to join a rapidly growing IT Services and Solutions business near Chesterfield.
The role will be primarily project-focused, delivering a range of Cloud & Infrastructures solutions to external customers. You will be involved with ongoing and new projects, being responsible for the implementation and pre/post-project support across various technologies. This role will offer fantastic training and development within a growing organisation.
Further responsibilities within the role will include;
- End-to-end project delivery, providing solution implementation, project management and pre/post-project support
- Work across technologies in key areas, including Windows Server, Cloud (Azure & O365), Active Directory, Virtualization (VmWare), Exchange and IT security & basic networking.
- Ensure all projects are delivered and installed within the timescales set.
- Pre-sales support for Sales colleagues, communicating with new & existing customers.
- Work closely with the Service Desk Manager and Account Managers to keep them updated on live projects
- Provide technical support where required (pre & post project)
- Proving a technical handover to the Service Desk team
- Carrying out site surveys and creating technical documentation.
- Where required, take the lead with various ongoing project-related work.
Requirements:
- Previous hands-on implementation and high-level support of solutions and projects across the majority of;
- Windows Server OS (including roles).
- Azure, Microsoft 365 \ Exchange \ SharePoint, Intune and AutoPilot.
- VMWare ESX, vCenter and/or Hyper-V.
- Backup, Firewalls and Email Security
- LAN, WAN, VPN and Wireless
- Previous experience working within the IT solutions / MSP industry.
- Full UK driving licence required for the project role.
- You should be able to commute at least 2 times per week to Chesterfield.
Package details:
- Monday – Friday, day work, hybrid working. (2/3 days from office and home)
- Up to £40,000 per annum basic (potentially negotiable for the right candidate).
- Pool car can be used or milage paid for customer site travel.
