As senior DSL, you will be an exceptional senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background. This leadership role will be naturally varied and challenging and will provide ideal preparation for full Headship. You will enjoy a high level of visibility, autonomy and impact, and we are seeking an individual who can recognise our existing strengths – but challenge our community to even greater achievements. You will be empowered to improve policy, processes and practices in all areas of our work. Working alongside the senior team, you will secure an exceptional climate for learning to support student ambition.

To be successful, you will need to:

About us

Opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build, we are based on Reeves Way in Peterborough and have quickly gone from strength to strength.

A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential. Additionally, we have been described as a truly ‘inclusive school’ at our recent National Inclusion Quality Mark inspection and have also been awarded 'Centre of Excellence Status'. We were also runners up at the 2020 National SEN awards for National Most Inclusive Practice.

Both our Academy and the Greenwood Academies Trust are committed to supporting pupils and staff alike. Providing pupils with the highest quality of education is of the utmost importance, but we recognise that in order to achieve this, teachers and staff must be properly supported with strong leadership, a climate of trust, research and innovation, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

In return

Being part of the GAT, you can be assured that you will be joining a successful Multi-Academy Trust that has a great track record in helping children to succeed, no matter what their background. The Trust is dedicated to valuing and developing the workforce, whether that be through ensuring a fair workload or offering access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance professional growth.

We believe in looking after the people who make a huge difference to our children, their families, and the communities we serve. That’s why we give everyone who joins a Perkbox account – with 24/7 access to perks and discounts, plus curated wellbeing tools to look after your physical and mental health. It’s part of our commitment to look after you.
