The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
For this role you will be working in the SEN unit of a mainstream primary school. The children have a range of different needs such as autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and learning difficulties. There are also some pupils that are performing at a low ability. Although you will be based in the unit you may be required to work in the mainstream primary school and assist with various year groups.
The School - Mainstream Primary School
This is a 'Good' one form entry mainstream primary school. There are 30 pupils in each class. Nursery up to year 6. The nursery is seperate to the main school and there is also a specialist centre for SEN pupils with a range of different needs. The pupils in the centre are aged 4-7 and are also intergrated into the main school. The school site was refurbished in 2020, the school has very spacious classrooms and a large outdoor area. There is also parking on site.
