Job Description

Claxton are looking to source a Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Westhill, Aberdeen, the Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and efficient marketing and events planning service to Claxton Engineering Services and Probe Manufacturing and Fabrication. To help develop the brands and ensure integrity across all inbound digital channels and routes to market. Coordinate global marketing and events activities in alignment with Acteon Group brand guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Help to develop the brands and ensure integrity across all inbound digital channels and routes to market.
- Coordinate global marketing and events activities in alignment with Acteon Group brand guidelines.
- Help develop and grow the brands globally.
- Provide recommendations on continuous marketing improvements.
- Development and coordination of marketing and content activity across all channels to market, ensuring adherence to group marketing guidelines.
- Ensure there is a strong understanding of marketing needs and support stakeholders with their marketing and events needs.
- Working with key stakeholders, develop an annual marketing plan, budget, and provide quarterly reporting on activities against the plan.
- In line with marketing plan, ensure the relevant memberships and subscriptions are kept up to date and managed effectively.
- Assist in the design and development of company brochures, ebooks, case studies and datasheets.
- Develop and maintain product line track records.
- Develop and maintain proposal templates by product line.
- Assist in developing presentations, both for external and internal use.
- Manage literature stock and the distribution of promotional literature to clients and sales personnel.
- Organise and maintain a photo library, collate suitable imagery, and create photographic briefs where bespoke photography is required.
- Determine sources for content creation, both internally and externally.
- Assist in the preparation of e-Newsletters, press releases and the coordination of distribution.
- Build and manage the company's social media profiles and presence for both sales and CSR activities.
- Proactively support sales and tendering activities with marketing through social media channels.
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
- Explore new ways to engage with new social networks to reach target buyers.
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread our brand/s reach.
- Work in alignment with group brand guidelines and content approval process.
- Working with General managers, BD Managers and Product leaders, develop an annual events plan and an events budget proposal.
- Coordinate attendance and participation in industry events and the associated marketing material.
- Ensure events materials, signage and stands are stored in a secure location and ensure there is stock of branded giveaways.
- Attend industry events where required.
- Organise briefings and lessons learned from events.
- Support the development of literature, white papers, and presentation content for events.
Requirements
- Educated to Scottish Higher or 'A' Level Standard (including English), a degree in Marketing would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of branding and corporate identity.
- An understanding of how design techniques influence audience's decisions.
- Understand the importance of marketing and principles.
- Knowledge of key techniques to support marketing activity.
- Creativity with the ability to design and layout marketing documents.
- Working with digital applications and disciplines including video, audio/visual, and social media.
- The ability to communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing and editing expertise, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our businesses across various types of customer facing content channels including print, web, and social media.
- Experienced in Events planning, budget control and coordination is desirable.
- Experience using Customer relationship management (CRM) systems to support marketing goals would be an advantage.
