Salary: £11.89 per hour for 24 hour role, £12.40 per hour for flexi role

Hours: 1 x 24 hours and 1 x 30 hours. The 24 hour role will be on a 2 week rota and the 30 hours is on a flexi contract to cover sickness and annual leave. Both positions include evenings and weekends.

Miners Court is Coastline’s extra care living facility in Redruth, providing an integrated care and support service that promotes independence for all our customers. You will work in accordance with the customer’s care and support plans to flexibly to meet their individual needs and preferences.

You’ll be assisting customers with all aspects of daily living and personal care including undressing, bathing and showering, and dental and mouth care; toileting, feeding, dressing and moving individuals according to agreed manual handling techniques (using the equipment/aids provided in the trained and agreed manner).

You will also support customers with cleaning, cooking, shopping and attending appointments as required.

You will have experience in the care and support sector with an empathetic understanding of the health and wellbeing of vulnerable and older people and be flexible and practical in your approach to delivering care and support. You will be able to remain calm under pressure and in an emergency, and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to act decisively. You will also possess or be willing to work towards a level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.

A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required.
