Hiring Sewing Machinist - Southampton
Stratton Mills is an employment business that provides Fashion Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Sewing Machinists. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a temporary to permanent basis.
Breakdown of the Sewing Machinist Role:
• Products: Industrial
• Salary: £10.42 per hour (£11.42 per hour from April)
• Hours: Full-time - Monday - Thursday: 06:00 AM - 2:00 PM & Friday 6:00 - 1:00 PM (39 hours per week)
• Immediate Start
• Location: Southampton
Duties for the Sewing Machinist Role:
• Follow operating instructions for the Flatbed, Overlock & Walking Foot machines.
• Complete requirements for sewing decorative lining using cotton sheets, polyester & PVC materials
• Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project.
Ideal Sewing Machinist Candidate:
• Good attention to detail & excellent hand-eye coordination
• Experience in working to targets
• Previous industrial sewing machine experience, within a factory environment operating the Flatbed, Overlock & Walking Foot machines.
