We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Director with outstanding people skills to be responsible for leading the Human Resources function within the UK. This is a great opportunity to join a focused HR team in a large and highly successful, global technology Company.

Sopra Banking Software is an inclusive employer and this role can support flexible working arrangements. We are currently supporting hybrid working and expect 2 days per week in-office presence. For this role, team members are located in Bristol, Sheffield and Dunstable, and the successful candidate would be expected to visit these locations and also our London office regularly. Flexibility on working hours will also be required at times. There will be some international travel, planned well in advance, to join colleagues in the wider business for key events and activities (less than 5%).

Duties and responsibilities: 

Qualifications



We are interested in hearing from you, if you have most of the following attributes:

Delivery: strong focus on operational HR delivery. In the first place, this is a role which requires close understanding of operational functional HR areas and the ability to coach and lead HR team members and internal customers through the employment journey. With the global HR management team, peer HRDs and Global HRBPs, it is also expected from the role to contribute to the global HR strategy of SBS. 

Leadership: Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. Ability to motivate and drive senior leaders and their teams through change management and continuous improvement projects. Ability to structure and motivate the HR team to continuously improve and deliver best in class HR to internal clients.

Decision Making: Able to anticipate possible challenges and propose practical and efficient solutions, ensuring collaboration and communication at all times. 

Organisation / Culture: Ability to proactively listen to employees, act on their feedback and make continuous improvements whilst ensuring the promotion of the organisation’s values at every level.

Communication: Strong communicator at all levels, credible, reliable and approachable with the ability to influence key stake holders.

Technology: successful candidates will have an excellent ability to use and promote technology within the HR function. We use in-house systems and ADP.

Legislation and Compliance: successful candidates will have a strong focus and excellent grasp of legislation (not just in HR) and compliance (including HMRC, regulatory) and be skilled at deploying this knowledge within day to day and longer-term planning activity.

Salary range for this role is up to £110,000 per annum
