Job description

Overview

This is an exciting role for an international audio products business as a Junior Commercial Manager. The Commercial Manager’s main responsibility is to manage and monitor the (tactical) commercial activities related to the brand.

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

The Role

Sales & Marketing:
• Assist the CM in executing the commercial strategy in the NSO
• Monitor Channel strategy
• Define yearly planning and pricing, conditions, promotions and advertising strategy in the NSO
• Execute Marketing activities as defined by Management, other activities which are done locally are defined by Sales UK/Marcom UK
• Monitor the monthly forecast, ordering process and stock situation with the planning department.
• Provide analysis of competitors promotion activities and other market conditions for Commercial Manager
• Execute national marketing strategies and control promotional expense
• Check product/service mix and initiate corrective actions/reports when sales, gross margin and profitability are not in line with Budget
• Enforce all relevant contracts, (e.g. distribution, EDI, Supply) to accounts
• Manage local stocks
• Set up of marketing and sales strategies for National Accounts
• Prepare sales proposals for the Key Accounts
• Informing Key Accounts about products, service and other developments within Brand/Market

Communication
• Monitor, give feedback, streamline and filter communication between Sales Managers, Commercial Manager and the European Brand
Manager regarding all brand related topics such as: commercial strategy, product information, sales, marketing, service, IT, etc.
• Keep CM up to date regarding developments within the Brand on all possible areas.
• Participate (on request) and follow up actions from Key Country Meetings.
• Communicate sales targets, price settings etc to ASM on a monthly basis
• Communicate decisions on pricing/actions/advertising/deals to ASM on a day to day basis
• Communicate and calculate bonuses for ASM

Reporting and budget planning:
• Prepare and communicate monthly Sales reports (or other relevant reports) to Sound United Europe.
• Monthly review and analyze on results of the Brand (margins/figures) to identify risks and opportunities together with the Brand
Controller and CM.
• Assist and give input to the yearly budgeting process

• Bachelor degree
• Structured and efficient way of working
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent reporting and computer skills
• Commercial experience
• Excellent Team player
• Pro-active, and able to think ‘out of the box’
• Customer oriented (Internal and external)
• Ability to work towards targets and deadlines.
• Hands on mentality
• Good knowledge of Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint (SAP is a pre)
