Job description
- Senior Product Engineer – Composite Applications As a Senior Product Engineer, you will apply the best industry practices to create lightweight, durable and efficient composite components for a high-tech engineering company that has recently started using composite applications in their dynamic products. This company invested over £20mill in a factory of the future, working with modern technology that has never been seen before. This role will work with their legacy products; therefore, you will need good knowledge of rotating equipment such as engines, motors or rotators. You will be pivotal in helping the business increase its capability and understanding of composite and hardware applications to meet the current challenges. You will deliver engineering solutions that meet all the requirements and perform calculations to justify these solutions. The ideal candidate will need a mechanical, automotive or aeronautical engineering degree with a strong design knowledge of composite applications. You will need strong experience applying composite design techniques and principles to products in a high-tech engineering industry. You must have good knowledge of composite manufacturing and assembling processes within dynamic products. This role offers a great hybrid policy where you can work three days in the office and the rest from home, with an early finish on Fridays.
This role requires the following: - A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong experience in applying composite design techniques and principles to products within the automotive/aerospace industry.
- Understanding of engineering materials and production methods relevant to them.
