Charity Finance Manager - Immediately available
upto £30.00 per hour
Monday-Friday 35 hours per week, flexi hours between 8am and 6pm

The Finance Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Charity finances including those of the trading company.
Reporting and working alongside the COO you will be supported by a finance office in the day to day accounting operations.
You will be responsible for year end finances and monthly financial reporting and management accounts. Joining during the audit process you will be responsible for working with auditors who will produce the annual accounts.
Duties associated with the role of Finance Manager
- Management and supervision of the finance team
- Understanding of annual accounts (including annual report, schedules for investments, property, other fixed assets etc)
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and Finance Reports as required
- Manage efficient systems for capital projects
- Oversee the management of the Pension scheme
- Oversee the management of an efficient Payroll system (IRIS)
- Manage cashflow efficiently and within agreed protocols
- Oversee the management of efficient systems for the recording and calculation of VAT
- Oversee the management of income tax and end-year PAYE returns
- Oversee returns to Companies House and Commissioners returns
You will be the first point of liaison with external partners, advisors, etc (Commissioners, auditors, Inland Revenue, Customs & Excise, Bank, Insurance Brokers, investment advisors, etc) - excellent communication skills are required.
Ideally you will have worked within a Charity, managed a team and be happy to hit the ground running. This is a role where multi tasking and organisational skills will need to be on point.
QBE, ACCA or CIMA qualifications welcomed.
