Learning Support Assistant

Kirkby-In-Ashfield

£375- £425 per week

Connex Education is working with a cluster of SEN schools within the North Nottinghamshire area. The Alternative Provision school in question are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work on a full time basis in the Kirkby-In-Ashfield base.

The school itself provides an inclusive, engaging learning environment for children between the ages of 11 and 18 years old, with a key focus of increasing opportunities for all people with disabilities. The school prides itself on being an OFSTED rated ''Outstanding'' school and has asked for passionate and dedicated individuals to join and continue the high quality education and support that is already provided.

As a successful Learning Support Assistant you will have a prompt start in March 2024, work between the hours of 9.00am-4:30pm and will have the opportunity for the contract to extend to the rest of the academic year for the right candidate. However, we are aware that these hours may not suit everyone, Connex Education and the school are happy to discuss this at interview.

Person Specification

• Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
• Strive for excellence and go the extra mile!
• Be willing to provide personal care
• Be confident in working with challenging behaviour
• Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
