Environmental and Sustainability Officer

Location: Welwyn Garden City

As Environmental and Sustainability Officer you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing and managing the Environmental & Sustainability strategy for the business.

Key Skills / Experience

Graduate with a relevant academic background in the environmental and sustainability field or someone with experience of working in a similar role and able to demonstrate passion for sustainability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Experience of developing documents and procedures.
Excellent organisational skills.
Fluent English: written and oral.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally.
Excellent administrational skills.
Strong team spirit and professional attitude.
Role:

Conducting research activities on environmental compliance requirements and sustainability innovations to deliver continual performance improvement
Raise awareness of sustainability performance within the Company
Supporting the evolvement (being creative) of quality procedures and environmental initiatives.
Day to day managing and monitoring environmental data
Hands on and data reporting
Establish how business promotes its environmental values – environmental awareness days
To establish ways to reduce carbon footprint eg electricity, gas and water
