Salary: Grade E. SCP 11 £25,979 to SCP 16 £28,282
Hours: 36 Hours per Week (Monday – Friday)
Base Location: Dukinfield Crematorium, Hall Green Road, Dukinfield, SK16 4EP

A permanent position has arisen within the PLACE directorate in the Pest Control Service
The role is to organise and implement pest control work including inspections, surveys and treatments as required to premises, persons, vehicles and non-target species and environment and to be responsible for the safe storage, mixing and application of all pest control materials. The person will be expected bring in new commercial contracts and to participate and assist the Services Manager in all the activities of the Pest Control section including estimation and preparation of commercial contracts.
The officer will be required to report to a central office daily to receive their workload and will then be mobile during the day, visiting sites across the borough. Considerable experience of dealing with the public and excellent administration skills is required. You must be able to plan and organise a complex and varied workload. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be able to deal with sensitive, confidential issues.
A pest control officer is required to achieve specific qualifications - The Royal Society of Health Certificate in Pest Control. A Full Clean Driving Licence is Essential. This position is subject to Enhanced with Barred List DBS Procedures.
Applicants should be able to work effectively on their own or part of a team, and have the ability to communicate to service users in a caring and sensitive manner.
