We are looking for a dynamic project manager with experience in delivering innovative exhibitions and events. This isan exciting fixed term opportunity (6 - 8 months) to be involved in an engaging collaborative project whichfeatures photographic and video storytelling of people around Scotland and their wide-ranging connections to thesea.
One of the main aims of this project is to showcase the important connections between people and Scotland’s marinenatural heritage, amidst the hidden biodiversity and climate crises that have unfolded in our seas. This projectwill help amplify different perspectives and stories of how these issues are impacting the many communitiesaround our shores. The project aims to raise awareness of these issues and inspire greater dialogue and actionwithin communities, and empower people to get involved in making a difference.
The work to gather these stories is almost complete and it will soon be time to share them across a variety oflocations and event spaces across Scotland. If you are highly organised, creative and have a passion for gettingvoices heard within communities and beyond, then this may be the project for you.

The Role:
As the Sustainable Transport Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Transport components within the Place themeof the Cairngorms 2030 programme.
You will reporting to the Head of the Cairngorms 2030 programme and have overall responsibility for delivery of thetransport programme within Cairngorms 2030. This will be across the 4 multifaceted projects, covering:delivering new Active travel Infrastructure, instigating sustainable travel initiatives, making the Cairngormsmore cycle friendly and encouraging a step change in travel behaviours. Therefore, ensuring that the CairngormsNational Park becomes a rural exemplar for Active and Sustainable travel.
You will be responsible for all the Programme management functions including programme planning, task management,financial forecasting and budget control. You will also develop match funding applications and manage subsequentgrant awards and their conditions.
As the postholder you will prepare tender briefs and specifications for both high value, technical construction andfor consultancy or goods/services contracts. As well as procuring construction and services contracts to therequired public sector standards including tender assessment and awarding contracts, followed by the subsequentmanagement of contracts including dealing with emerging contractual and legal issues.
You will also manage multiple strategic relationships with external funders and partners in particular LocalAuthorities and Regional Transport Partnerships, giving opportunities for networking and building strong workingrelationships.

Membership of a relevant professional organisation such as ICE, IMeche, CHIT or TPS; Project management qualificationsuch as PRINCE2 or MSP; Prior experience of managing Places for Everyone funded projects; IT skills – projectmanagement software; An understanding of the purpose and aims of the Cairngorms National Park and knowledge ofthe Gaelic language would be beneficial to your application.

You will ensure the Park Authority’s Planning, Rural Development and Visitor Services teams provide a high qualityservice for all external customers and ensure a high standard of corporate governance and service delivery,including financial and staff management.
You will oversee the delivery of strategic partnerships with other organisations and delivery of key programme andprojects, with a view to achieving successful implementation of the National Park Partnership Plan and theNational Park Authority’s Corporate and Operational Plans.

Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people mostaffected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. Today, in over 60 communities we work withadults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools andfurther education, among others.

About the Role
SAMH Redhall is a mental health recovery project based in a walled garden in South-West Edinburgh. We have awonderful location in a wooded dell by the Water of Leith and indoor and outdoor facilities includingpolytunnels, vegetable beds, ornamental gardens, orchard, kitchen, library and training room.
The Instructor Team at Redhall provide a supportive environment to learn and practice skills in horticulture. Theservice has structured days and encourages people to build routine, be more active, spend time outdoors and workalongside others. Our Peer Worker and Employability Practitioner offer additional support for people to bettermanage their mental health, develop confidence and progress their goals.
The garden is open to the public during the week and also plays host to local partner projects who might arrangetheir own activities in the grounds. We also organise open days to sell plants, promote the service and raiseawareness.
The Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day delivery of effective social and therapeutic horticultureactivities at SAMH Redhall, creating a positive and purposeful environment for staff, service users and widercommunity.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a track record of managing the delivery of programmes in health, greenspace and/orcommunity settings. You will have the skills to undertake all aspects of managing the project day to day fromthe ground up - overseeing site/garden maintenance, developing programmes, managing staff and ensuring qualityof support.
You have an understanding of partnership working and can identify and develop opportunities for joint working,coordinate and communicate with colleagues across the third sector and make reports to funders as required.
You have leadership experience and can confidently bring a team together with a strong sense of purpose andcommitment to SAMH values. You are someone who wants to work with people with the ability to build rapport, showgenuine interest in their recovery and handle difficult conversations with compassion.
