Job description
We are looking for a enthusiatic team player, with some previous training, coaching, buddying, or mentoring experience, and who is wanting to progress their career as a specialist trainer / training facilitator.
As our Business Training Assistant / Consultant you will enjoy the flexibility of working from home and from our Basildon offices. The role also requires an element of travel for delivery of external training and inductions. In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £25,000 per annum, excellent training and development, and will be joining a team of very welcoming and supportive colleagues.
The Business Training Consultant (BTC) deals directly with the UK-wide network of professional mortgage and insurance Advisers, in provision and delivery of Induction training when new firms/advisers join the network – and ongoing training support as required.

The role
The BTC accepts responsibility for delivery of the Induction course training to all new firms / advisers that join the network. They undertake to become an expert user of the Revolution system (and all surround systems and apps) to enable comprehensive knowledge and skills when providing guidance and support. They also support the creation/ update of user profiles once approved to trade. The BTC accepts responsibility for ensuring that all training materials are accurate and up to date, identifying any changes required, proposing the changes to the Senior BTC/Partner Support Manager and implementing the changes once approved. The role also includes responsibility for providing feedback on the performance of all delegates to the Business Development team to enable decisions to be made about competence levels (and thereby approval to trade).
Key responsibilities
Deliver Induction training to standard on time so new Advisers are ready to be aligned with Compliance Operations having achieved required standards of competence
Establish and maintain competence on Revolution and all surround systems/apps
Provide material & content feedback on Induction to Partner Support Manager for review & potential improvements
Make notes on delegate performance during Induction and provide feed back to Business Development Managers
Make sure all delegates are set up on systems ready for approval
Any other tasks delegated by line manager to support the team and company as required
Our ideal candidate
Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or inducting experience, either as a specialist trainer or as part of a wider role
Excellent presentation skills, in group settings as well as one to one
Confident user of IT systems and computer software
Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and use time productively
Willing and able to travel (may also require travel to sites not accessible via public transport)
Hybrid working - commute 3 days + per week to the Basildon offices
Able to fully satisfy the pre employment screening process which comprises of right to work, identity, 5 years referencing, AML, credit screen, financial sanctions and DBS checks.
