Job description

I have a rare opportunity for a HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER to join a PASSIONATE and COMMITTED team in the Swansea area within an ESTABLISHED service for young people with highly complex and challenging needs who are furthest away from independence.

Working for a homelessness service organisation, you will be part of a team that really cares about supporting the lives of young people who are at risk of homelessness. This is an incredibly rewarding role, with a great career progression

The organisation has close likes with the local authority housing team and you will be expecting to take on call 1 week in 20. **Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's license**

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working with those at risk of becoming homeless, mental health services, or young person services

• Salary: £22,353
• Location: Just outside of Swansea
• Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
• Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Developing a good working relationship with service users
• Developing good working relationships with Local Authorities
• Advising on benefits and other services to those at risk of homelessness
• Identify the needs of individuals and help overcome any barriers they may have

Requirements of Case Worker:

• The passion to make a difference in the lives of the people you support
• NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care
• NVQ in Advice and Guidance (Desirable)
• Experience working with Homelessness, Benefits, and mental health issues.
• Willing to travel within the local area.
